7/8/2020 - Mandatory Face Mask Ordinance Frequently Asked Questions
On Monday, July 6, the Salina City Commission voted to enact a face mask ordinance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the health and safety of all residents. Over the last 48 hours the City has received hundreds of e-mails and calls asking for clarification of how the ordinance will be enforced.

One of the most common questions is about workers and children in childcare facilities. Based on guidance from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Governor’s Office, staff and children in childcare facilities will not be required to wear masks. Further details on KDHE guidance along with answers to other frequently asked questions has been posted at http://salina.ks.us/featured/?FeedID=5801.

The City of Salina and Saline County will add to these FAQs as new information becomes available. Questions and concerns can be emailed to facemasks@Salina.org.
